THE INCREASING MENTAL DISORDER AND ANXIETY AMONG THE YOUTH, WHAT IS THE SOLUTION TO THIS?

Today, many of our students are becoming victims of panic, mental disorder, disappointment and depression. We have examined the coldness of the society to bring such students out of the darkness of disappointment and low morale. Most of us are not ready to go to any school in our neighborhood and provide educational and psychological guidance to the students, and when one or two of them are completely mentally stressed and take extreme steps, then we are in a state of uproar. After this unfortunate attitude of the society, the one whose attitude is causing harm is the ‘media’. Earlier, only the media with solid 2 ink, i.e. the print media. Then the electronic media took the entry and now the social media came, and as soon as we saw it, this media has become a member of our family. We do not get the good news of our relatives for months, but we keep on making our presence on social media every five minutes. The two-word definition of journalism in this media is ‘breaking news’ because this is what increases its TRP (television rating point). Accordingly, they get advertisements and the ‘height’ of those channels increases. In this TRP shoplifting, all values are put aside and the unfortunate news of our youth sacrificing their lives is presented as breaking news. At that time, it is not thought for a moment that what must have happened to those affected families by presenting these extremely sad incidents as selling products? They do not think because the loss of a precious life is just an episode of their crime show for those media people.

After society and the media, parents are held responsible for all these issues that keep our youth in the darkness of despair. In fact, these attitudes and behaviors of parents are obvious.

(1) First of all, most parents want to impose their dreams on their children, that what they could not become, they should at least show their children to become.

(2) No matter how much the child suffers from mental stress, his brain starts exploding under mental pressure, he suffers from severe depression and becomes a victim of sleeping pills for his temporary peace, of course, the desired goal of the parents is to achieve it.

(3) Some parents ignore all the abilities of their children and want to use them as fuel for the home stove, even if the child ends up being a failure, they do not care.

(4) In some homes, such an environment prevails that even primary school children are struck by the fear of missing school: “Oh…. Again, the same house…. Again, the same arguments between 4 mom and dad…. Again, the same you, me,…. Every day, I have to go home from school.”

(5) The favoritism shown to their children is also a major reason why children become disturbed. Parents always favor their intelligent children, and children who are less intelligent and dull-minded are constantly subjected to mental torture. In this regard, parents do not know or ignore that only five percent of the children on this earth are highly intelligent or geniuses. 20 percent are intelligent and the remaining 75 percent, i.e. a large majority, are average below average and slow learner children. Therefore, every time parents look up to the sky and complain to the Almighty about their children, it is not appropriate because dull minded or slow-learner children are not only their lot, they are the vast majority. Therefore, parents, by working hard on their weak children, turn their children into mentally ill people due to the cruelty and 5 injustice they do to them. As a result, some of them become angry with their lives.

One of the major factors that motivates people to turn away from life is our current education system. This education system is still considered a very complicated puzzle, so parents consider tutoring mandatory for students in the KG or first grade. Some tutors even convince them that tutoring is a must from the lower grades. One of the most stressful exams in this country today is the Medical NEET exam. Today, most children try to take this exam two or three times and each time they fail, they become severely depressed and every year many students take extreme steps in their lives after the results of the exam are out. The biggest culprit for these situations is the education system of this country, which has been mortgaged to illiterate, selfish and materialistic politicians who are completely indifferent to the students. Even in the horrific era of Corona virus, they did not 6 realize that the country needs to be twice the number of seats available in medicine in this country today. That is why every year thousands of fake and sham doctors are caught across the country, they get away with paying bribes and then change their area and start their own ‘practice’ somewhere else. The government agrees to all this, but it is not ready to increase the number of seats in medical colleges. If they agree in some states, they make their approved candidate the head of that medical college so that they can charge up to one and a half crore rupees for a graduation seat in a medical college and up to four to five crore rupees for a post-graduation seat. Some students become mentally stressed just by buying such a seat, and those students who are unable to get admission in medicine even after paying lakhs/crores of rupees, become mentally stressed even more. Our education system and its political leaders have yet to open their eyes that in just one country, 7 Ukraine, the medical dreams of more than twenty thousand of our students are at stake. The total number of such Indian students from other countries is in lakhs. One can only imagine the mental state of those thousands of students who, due to the poor admission policy of this country, had only six months to a year left to complete their course.

The sad thing is that parents do not even protest against this education system that is causing mental confusion and anxiety to the students and these phrases keep coming out of their mouths.
